FAQ
What's the difference between interior design & Interior styling?

Interior styling and interior design, while related, have distinct focuses. Interior design encompasses the overall planning and creation of a space, providing the vision and creative artistry of a thoughtful scheme guided by a client's brief, considering both aesthetics and functionality, including structural changes if needed, where an architect and building team would be involved. Interior styling, on the other hand, focuses on the decorative elements and finishing touches that enhance a space's appearance, without structural alterations, typically for photo shoots and staging homes or for editorial work. At Clarke and Clarke we offer both specialising in interior design for home owners and interior staging for homes for sale.
WHO IS PROPERTY STAGING FOR?
Homeowners wanting to sell their property but don’t know where to start and need expert help. Property Developers and Investors who want the edge over other new builds or newly renovated properties for sale and recognise that selling an empty property will take longer to sell. Estate Agents who understand property presentation is key to a quick and successful sale.
HOW MUCH DOES PROPERTY STAGING COST?
Home staging costs can vary depending on the size of the home and the budget. It can range from a simple “light styling in a day” to fully furnishing and decorating an empty property. Staging your home is often more cost-effective than reducing the price of your property if it isn’t selling, making it a quicker and cheaper option to consider. You should expect to invest between 1% and 2% of your asking price to fully stage your home if it is empty. By doing so, you could potentially see a return on that investment of up to 10%. Our staging fees for homeowners living there starts from £500.
It's important to consider that 96% of buyers search for homes online first, so your property needs to stand out and attract their attention straight away. Our professional home staging skillfully highlights your property's best features, ensuring it looks larger, brighter, and visually appealing on camera. The longer your property remains on the market, the more price reductions you can expect. Staging will always cost significantly less than the first reduction you will make if your property isn’t selling.
WHEN SHOULD I STAGE MY HOME?
We always recommend staging a property before photos are taken and before going to market with your Estate Agent, so that it is looking its best creating the perfect first impression. If you are considering selling a property please get in touch we would love to help, or get your Estate Agent to get in touch with us, we love collaborating with other businesses.
